He is also responsible for planning the development and deployment of systems to improve the NAS security environment, including systems to support security situational assessment. Shaw ensures that these systems continue to comply with all NASA security regulations. As the Organizational Computer Security Official (OCSO) for the NASA Advanced Supercomputing (NAS) Division, Derek Shaw is responsible for the information security protection of all of the NAS facility’s computer systems.
